Haunted Houses

Nightmares
Debut: 2017
Some nightmares mark us by their realism, but we all come out when we wake up. This time, penetrate into the horrifying universe of the one pulling the strings of this world parallel to the palpable anguish.
Massacre Museum
"There’s an old abandoned industrial warehouse at the edge of La Ronde. The decrepit building has been boarded up.
By day all seems good besides the dreadfully eerie silence, but by night the air starts to suddenly thicken and the wind slowly breaks the silence with a low, piercing, spine-chilling howl that shakes you to the bone. It’s a warning that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Rumors have it that the building houses a collection of artifacts and beings from some of the most evil events and atrocities known (and unknown) to mankind, and that it is a haven for sinister and violent souls that like to wreak havoc on the living, creating hell on earth as they summon beastly creatures and possesses the survivors.
Local residents avoid going near it at all costs for a reason: It’s deadly. Some report seeing fleeting glimpses of ghastly figures lurking in the shadows, watching their every move. Others say they have come face to face with the most grotesque looking demons. One man even notes he was clawed up a ravenous, blood-thirsty, red-horned demon with a crazed look of despair and says he has the scar to prove it.
And, many brave souls, including expert paranormal hunters, who have ventured into the area seeking explanations, exploring its creepy depths, chasing the mysterious shadows lurking in the dark, have vanished into thin air. The ones who have made it out alive have returned lifeless, with horrific hollowed eyes, and entranced with an inexplicable spell.
It is believed that the warehouse, aptly dubbed “Massacre Museum,” sucks in those that get too close, whirling them into a disorienting world of terror, before sucking the life out of them. Park goers who choose to wander into the building do so at their own risk because there’s no telling what might happen."

Debut: 2016

You will also see real scarecrows, bound to scare you, making you run for your life…

Of course, you want to know more! But beware of that curiosity because an unsafe atmosphere comes ramping through with a strange feeling of being followed, odours of dead corps and scarecrows all the more scary…
District 510
"Dare to enter where most humans have to be dragged into. Battle with scientists desperate to exceed the limits of the unknown by experimenting on humans. Blood and dismembered limbs are everywhere in this unscrupulous laboratory located on the outskirts of La Ronde.
Dr. Hébert, a colonel with the 67th regiment these past 20 years or so, was an easy prey for boredom. All the experiments he conducted for the army left him exhausted. “Amateur’s work!” he would mutter under his breath. He wanted a challenge. Something no scientist had ever attempted. He was going to create life. He changed his identity to Professor Gagnon and founded District 510, a mysterious and top secret experimental base.
The first order of business- assemble the parts. The park provided a perfect venue for human selection. With promises of a park tickets, they persuaded several men to join them in the lab. As soon as they got there, the men were hacked to bits and their fresh organs immediately harvested. Their blood was replaced with a highly toxic liquid. After weeks of work, their artificial human was finally assembled. All that was left to do was begin the reanimation process. Just as Professor Gagnon was pulling the crank of his machine, a crash of lightning struck the lab killing all power to the facility. Professor Gagnon started the generator; the lights turned back on and saw it- the hand of his creation began to move.
Unfortunately, they had no idea the particular brain secured belonged to a notorious murderer on the run from the law. The creature created was cursed with his memories of hate and horror and an insatiable lust for blood. The monster lunged from the operating table, snapped Professor Gagnon’s neck and killed him instantly. Johnston tried in vain to escape but his neck was also snapped like nothing more than a twig. He escaped into the park leaving the other unscrupulous scientists to cover up for Professor Gagnon’s mess. They’ve now begun replicating a new model of the monster… all they need are the right limbs from the right park guests."

La Ronde turns the fear factor up a notch by offering a haunting attraction during Fright Fest. Visitors of the Maison Rouge — Labyrinth of Terror will be terrified at every turn. The sound of the terrifying laughter inside will freeze the blood of those who dare to visit, and send them running for their lives.

Scare Zones

The Demons
"Every autumn, like clockwork, the leaves start to turn into brilliant shades of fiery reds and oranges. The air becomes chilly and crisp. All seems good by day, but at dusk, just as the sun hides itself over the horizon, the air starts to suddenly thicken and the wind slowly breaks the silence with a low, eerie, spine-chilling howl that shakes you to the bone. It’s a warning that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
Communities from the surrounding areas tell of eight evil demons with soul-piercing eyes that roam the night every autumn terrorizing and haunting the living, on their quest to savor and devour sweet human flesh. Witnesses say these savage demons live deep beneath the park, although we have no proof of that. They have seen them they say – from afar – awakening from their deep slumbers completely famished, dreadful ghostly figures with crazed glaring stares, rising up from the steamy earth and walking out from among the densely wooded areas, getting ready to set out on another terrorizing hunt for their next meal.
Local residents tell of unexplained terrorizing shrieks that break the night silence, and they say a whiff of fresh dirt with a lingering smell of rotting flesh is a sure sign the demons are out on the prowl. They warn to be cautious: The demons may have already passed, or they might be lurking in the shadows, waiting for you to come just a little closer so they can grab and devour you. And, nothing – no ride nor queue line will protect you from these ravenous creatures!
Every autumn locals refuse to leave their homes after 5:30 p.m., promptly locking their doors and drawing their blinds closed. Park goers who choose to stay at the park beyond 5:30 p.m. during the months October do so at their own risk because there’s no telling what might happen when these monsters and ghouls reach the surface."
Zombie Camp
Zombies are no longer only fictional characters. In fact the most unique specimens recorded can be found in the Zombie Camp.
Nowadays the zombie threat is of international scope. Never has humanity been faced with such great danger. Densely populated, with a somewhat low criminality and more or less stable socio-economic climate, North America is certainly more vulnerable to the living dead phenomenon than any other regions of the globe. The dead are among us. We must join forces if we want to survive. The keyword here is survival. Not victory. Not conquest. Survival.
In a makeshift camp, a dozen survivors who did not escape the epidemic… in this hostile environment. Don’t believe for a minute that you’re in a safe place!
Vampire Lair
Cadrhal, Draven, Amalia, Etza and Levana stopover at La Ronde to collect fresh blood.
Cadrhal and Draven Strigoi, two brothers who died in 1605 during the Hungary War, were the first ever to be suspected of vampirism by local authorities. One month after their death, they were wandering in the village area. day. Soon after, several villagers suffered from severe blood loss and died from exhaustion. Before dying, they said they saw Draven Strigoi in a dream, that he bit them and drank their blood.
Residing in the Liptov region, the Casparek family with their three sisters Amalia, Etza and Levana, was hit by misfortune in 1888 when Levana, the youngest child, suffered from a strange affliction. Thinking that the young woman was suffering from a tuberculosis infection, they put her in quarantine to ensure the illness would not spread to the rest of the family. The morning after, Levana had mysteriously disappeared. In the weeks following Levana’s disappearance, Amalia and Etza started to suffer from the same symptoms, and died a few weeks later. A neighbor living close to the cemetery said that, in the middle of the night, she saw two men and a young woman that came to exhume the sisters’ bodies. The family asked for an exhumation, which confirmed that the bodies had really disappeared.
The Taxidermist
When you’ll walk through Fright Fest, you’ll get to know our fresh new taxidermist, whose hobby is to stuff… humans. He knows everything about the human body, from bones to hair, through the different muscle layers; he’s a passionate, a scholar. He has a medical background and he does everything according to those standards … but he is the last person we would want to be trapped within four walls!
The Taxidermist is constantly followed by his assistant, an expert in robotics, who gives us the shivers in a single glance. This one has greatly contributed to the taxidermist’s research in order to create an artificial brain to bring back to life their creations. Together they seek the best candidates, especially the missing pieces to their collection. They try to possess bodies of all sizes, all ages and from every single country of the world! They are very manipulative and they’ll do whatever it takes to remove the skin from your body. Through their experiences, they managed to revive 2 creatures that now wander around the lab.

RIP Haunts

Death Row
Type: Haunted House
Enjoy a nighttime tour of Death Row – the most wicked prison in Montreal.

Since the closing of the prison at Alcatraz Island, no correctional centre has assembled the most dangerous and notable criminals. Except for one, unknown to all: DEATH ROW. The prison was given this name because prisoners know when they arrive, but don’t know when they’ll be set free. In fact, no one has ever left.
In these prison hallways, extreme violence rules, and only the toughest wardens can work there. It makes you wonder whom to fear most, the wardens or the prisoners. Granted the right to kill, they subject these lawless criminals to the worst beatings imaginable. Cells fill with rivers of blood, and from the execution chamber wafts the smell of burnt flesh. The hallways fill with terrible dread.
Some wardens, blinded by greed, conduct clandestine tours of their unusual workplace. For a certain sum, they allow common mortals to experience DEATH ROW. But this dangerous game may prove very costly in this pleasant month of October, as events may spin out of control. A riot is imminent, and those who hold the keys may find themselves on the wrong of the bars. It’s up to you to decide whether the potential cost is worth it."
Dollhouse
Type: Haunted House
"Welcome to the Dollhouse, a place where once upon a time angelical little dolls were lovingly crafted for sweet little girls, but now bring shrieks of terror to all who enter.

It all started when a greedy doll maker sought a huge profit. He wanted his beautiful dolls to look and act more lifelike, to almost be perfect little girls themselves. Day after day, his factory workers never returned home. The sound of terrorizing shrieks and the odor of burned flesh, melted plastic, and scorched rubber filled the night air around town.
Detectives found that the doll maker had been dismembering his employees and implanting their body parts in the dolls. His creations came to life, and obsessed, he built them a beautiful life-size dollhouse where they now run rampant, with their cold, glassy stares.
This October, the doll manufacturer invites you in for a tour of his beloved Dollhouse. For unsuspecting guests, it seems innocent enough when you enter the picturesque living quarters, but things quickly go awry when the undead evil dolls spring to life right before your eyes. A sense of helplessness will overcome you as it seems there is no way out of this toy terror, and you may not be able to escape the same fate as the employees – because the doll maker is always working on building his collection of beautiful little possessed dolls.
Sure, you may be brave enough to walk into the Dollhouse, but are you strong enough to make it out alive?"
Zombie Lounge
Type: Scare Zone
Years ago an enormous explosion rocked an old industrial neighborhood that had been revitalized as urban lofts...

Startled, local residents rushed outside and saw their worst nightmare materialize right before their very eyes: A huge mushroom cloud consumed the sky off in the near distance, and below it an eerie glowing green fire in the middle of a dark field lit up the sky.
Alarms sounded and local firefighters from hundreds of surrounding communities attempted to reach the scene, but were thwarted by government officials whom assured them that everything was under control. When they inquired about the incident further, they were told there was nothing to worry about, this was a minor incident, and that expert personnel had been brought in to secure and cleanup the explosion.
Residents returned to their homes and everything seemed fine until four days later – black birds started to mysteriously drop out of the sky, trees shriveled up and dried, concrete streets began to crack, and local residents began to die suddenly. The few that mysteriously survived developed big blistering boils that slowly burst exposing raw flesh.
Unsure what to do next infected survivors banded together and set up a camp on the outskirts of the city, a compound of campers and makeshift tents that they were able to scrounger up, sectioned off with barbed wire. Here they sit and they wait for help from the outside world.
It has been 10 years and no help has come. The camp has taken on a life of its own, becoming a thriving community of the undead, ghastly demonic looking creatures, ravenous and blood-thirsty for whatever crosses their path. Their favorite place to pass the time is the Zombie Lounge. Music blares wildly from the DJ booth; hypnotic lights flash across the dance floor to the beat of the music – the perfect urban party scene to the undiscerning eye.
Park goers are advised to beware and steer clear of the Zombie Lounge as enticing as it may seem. Many sad souls, drifters who have ventured into the area seeking help and explanations, exploring its creepy depths, have vanished into thin air. It is believed that the survivors of this camp use the Zombie Lounge to suck in those that get too close, whirling them into a disorienting world of terror, before sucking the life out of them so residents can feast on their fleshy brains. Park goers who choose to wander into the Zombie lounge do so at their own risk because there’s no telling what might happen."
Cemetery
Type: Scare Zone
"There’s a cemetery outside of La Ronde that has a habit of not burying its deceased deep enough in the ground. Its wicked caretaker has a habit of resurrecting the dead and bringing them back to the world of the living.

Jack Graves, the caretaker at the local cemetery was let go from the graveyard. When the cemetery owners realized he and his crew of gravediggers had only been burying the newly deceased a foot into the ground, they were all fired on the spot. What the owners wrote off as laziness, however, actually had a much sinister purpose. The caretaker was digging shallow graves because he planned on bringing these dead men back to life.
The damage had already been done by the time the caretaker cleared out his office. As soon as the moon came out, he began his incantation. The clouds darkened and the sky glowed brighter with every word of the spell to come from his mouth. Eventually, the earth began to shake.
First a rotting hand emerged from the ground below one of the graves. Then another, then another, then another. Soon decomposing heads popped up from beneath the dirt. His spell had worked and zombies were pulling themselves out of their shallow coffins.
With this legion of undead, the caretaker was ready to take control of a world that had always shunned him. His let his minions loose to do his bidding.
You can now run into Johnny Malette, a former businessman who was on the verge of promotion when the worst thing that could happen happened. He was killed in a tragic photocopying accident. Since then, he has remained involved in business, in a somewhat more sinister way.
There is also Victoria Ashe, who was enjoying the greatest of her life when it was brutally extinguished. She was on her way to the church to wed the man of her dreams, but she never made it. Will she still succeed in getting married some day? Forever and ever?
Death and destruction began to reign over Montreal. The most affected by this sudden increase in undead…the amusement park right next door."
Vampire's Den
Type: Scare Zone
"The Vampire’s Den got its name for a reason. It’s the one place at La Ronde that is permanently shrouded in darkness. Sunlight has not entered the town for years so it’s become Ground Zero for an ever-growing vampire army. With no fear of the sun, the undead are free to walk the town however they see fit. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the humans.

Surprising as it may sound, La Ronde was the central location of the 2005 vampire apocalypse. After the humans were finally able to band together and force a zombie retreat, the monsters took refuge in Shade Arbor, away from any sunlight. Led by Macchab and Phoenix, these post-apocalyptic vampires reorganized their defences and warded off further attacks. Thirst-ridden Agony, Androgenous Raven, Erzebeth The Albino and the Beast reproduced and, eventually, the manor became ground zero for an undead army. Unfortunately for all involved parties, food quickly became scarce in the area and vampires were soon spotted hunting in the park.
Eventually, the park management agreed that these vampire headquarters needed to be destroyed. Burning down the building was the most suggested option but, sadly, that’s no way to kill a zombie. A fire would just cause all of them to run into the park where they would eat all of the guests. Instead they decided to kill the vampire one at a time.
Although they knew it was a death sentence 10 ride operators mounted up their supplies and made their way to the site.
The vampires were unprepared for the attack but their determination and lack of food proved no match for the humans. They park employees were all turned within just a few minutes. Now all of the vampires roam the park at will, and anyone who makes a move to stop them is added to their ranks."
