Haunted Houses

Aftermath: Zombie's Revenge
Debut:
 2014
"Hells Gate State Park has fallen to the recent zombie uprising. Your mission is to survive amongst the campsites, fire towers, and cabins. Hunt or be hunted.
Deputy Lynch was patrolling the grounds of Hells Gate State Park. A few campers had reported hearing vicious growls that perhaps was a rabid animal, or worse, the return of the undead. Ever since the outbreak years ago that was quickly eradicated, every ranger has undergone training and is issued proper weapons for routine zombie hunting. Lynch stopped by the Outfitters shop to grab some gear. Suspiciously, all the windows were broken, ammo boxes thrown about, and footprints led towards Lake Take-a-dip where he could hear the rumbling of screams off in the distance. As he passed quicksand pits that had claimed some rescue vehicles, he quickly ducked inside the Ranger Station offices for safety. Suddenly a fist punched through the wooden wall and soon another from the other side. Running out of the cabin and into the nearby lodge, Deputy Lynch could hear a horde running behind him. As he hugged the inside, he held his breathe hoping the creatures outside would leave…until he turned his head to see his boss, Ranger Redmond, freshly bitten and slumped over. Deputy Lynch, like many of the staff of Hells Gate were once our trusted hunters….but now, they are the hunted. The Zombies will have their revenge."

The Forgotten Laboratory
Voted #13 in Genetics and Bioengineering Research
Once a prestigious institution in medical research, this long-forgotten facility deep within Wicked Woods has seen its fair share of tragedy. Some years ago an "accident" of sorts occurred after a bioengineered being turned on some of the lab's research assistants. Throats were slit, bones were broken and bodies strung up throughout the halls. It was a grisly affair, to say the least.
Eventually, the facility was shut down due to the fact that their "experiment" has gone both wrong andmissing. Now, years later, a group of hikers on an overnight excursion stumbled upon the abandoned lab.
"Shall we?" Said Mark, the lead hiker, as he gestured to what resembled the entrance. The hikers talked amongst themselves, some shook their heads in excitement, others were a little more hesitant. "Oh come on!" He mocked. "It'll only be a few minutes."
"You won't even last that long," said Sara. She was the only hiker who absolutely would not go inside.

"Oh yeah?" Mark playfully taunted, "we'll all prove you wrong."
So, their curiosity got the best of all but one of them, and when they crossed over the facility threshold they had no idea they would also be crossing over to their deaths. Sara was confident she was being pranked when she heard the screams coming from within the building. She peered through the shattered glass window to see nothing but darkness, however, she could make out a sound apart from the screaming. It was a guttural, terrifying roar. It wasn't human, she thought.
She leaned in closer, and as she did she saw one of her fellow hikers crawling towards her. It was Mark. As he came towards the light Sara saw that his body had been ripped in two; everything below his waist was gone... Only a trail of blood followed, along with his disemboweled intestines, which snaked and bounced along the dirty floor as he crawled closer.
"Heh-heh-hell..." He stuttered. "Hell-puh. M-m-me."
All Sara could do was stare in horror. She offered her hand through the window to the dismembered man. Suddenly, two plumes of hot steam shot from the darkness behind him, followed by another one of those deep, horrifying grunts. Her arm shot back, cutting it on a glass shard jutting from the window frame.
"I'm so sorry," she whimpered as she backed away, "I-I have to go. I can't help you, I'm so sor-."
"NO!" Mark roared. "Puh-please, don't go!"
Sara, clutching her bloodied arm, ran all the way out of the Wicked Woods and onto the nearby road where she flagged down a driver. She was taken to a hospital, where she shared her stories with the nurses, who snickered to one-another as they left the room.
Sarahas shared her story with many, in attempts to have the facility searched by the authorities, but not a soul believes her.
Do you?
Will you prove her wrong?
Midnight Mansion
"The Mansion of Lord Vincent Fostus is riddled with secret passages, luxurious dusty rooms, and a gathering of ghouls and ghosts here to celebrate a magnificent live, and even better death.
Around the turn of the 20th century, Lord Vincent Fostus, a very eccentric rich tycoon moved away from the east after rumors of a dreaded curse ruined his family name. He built a large mansion on the top of the hill in the western town of Tombstone TerrorTory with his wealth. Here he enjoyed entertaining his elite and eclectic group of friends for many many years. Just as the rest of Tombstone Terror-tory, tragic accidents started to occur regularly, and although many people loved Lord Fostus, many blamed him for the downfall of the town until one day he was murdered despite his efforts to be protected by his house’s many secret passages and rooms.
Paranormal historian Ellie Crane took the trip into Tombstone TerrorTory one night to collect some artifacts for further study back east. Pushing herself through the overgrown vines in the garden graveyard, she made her way into the root cellar that lingered with the smell of rotting flesh and soon climbed up into the formal dining room with meat seemingly more fresh. Plates hovered and glasses clinked in mid-air. Soon a small girl in a glowing pink dress came skipping by. With a sudden scream, she pulled Ellie through a wall and into a cave that led her past an art gallery where not only eyes followed her, but the portrait of Lord Fostus himself seemed to gesture to the gaming parlor next door. Amidst the loud clocks scattered about, a solemn organ played. It was obvious that the house staff was holding a wake in their master’s honor and all the spirits from over the years have returned to celebrate a magnificent life, and a better death."
Slasher Circus 3D
Step right up! You won’t believe your eyes! Freaks, fools and ghouls surround you as you travel around this side show of sickly sights!  Wearing special glasses, the effects of this strange attraction will surprise you around every corner!
The warped organ chimes could be heard cranking from over the hills. Beams of colorful lights broke through the fog calling from the distance for any curious courageous folks to visit. With tickets in hand, Ben, Corinne and Andrew pulled open the curtain and stepped inside the carnival tent.  Immediately they were greeted by the ringmaster who blasted a whistle and a line of crazy clowns paraded out to greet their new guests.  Although it seemed like a fun comical time at first, as they ventured deeper amongst the alleys of freak performers, the scenes became more twisted and tragic whilst their clown guides smiles got bigger and more menacing.  By the end of the show, our friends have not necessarily chosen to run away with the circus, but the circus has definitely run away with them.
Wicked Woods
"In the woods along the bank of the river sits a town forgotten by society, until now. After too many tour busses crashed on route 666, the NSO moved in to quarantine the area that is rumored to be rampant with crazed villagers and cursed creatures.
Greg Seymour saw the flyer stuck to his jeep seeking a few recruits for a simple research and reconnaissance project. When he arrived at the meeting point, a crowd of other curious and anxious travelers were corralled into groups where a sergeant quickly shouted basic rules of the mission that clearly had more danger than Greg anticipated.
Upon dispatch, the team heard voices calling them deeper into the woods where the remains of a dilapidated shack sat next to a diner’s rusty gas pump and other abandoned houses could be seen around the corner. This was obviously the old town of Happy Valley, a simple community known for its mining, farming, and power plants. Toxic barrels were still piled up and thrown about. As Greg went to snap a photo, a scarecrow then leaped down from a tree and dragged one of the party deep into the cornfield that surrounded the Happy Valley cemetery. The team easily made their way into a mausoleum that brought them deep into catacombs that dripped of fresh blood. Soon, they followed a flicker at the end of the cave and onto the side of train tracks where a blinding searchlight was proof the NSO had set up camp nights prior. Suddenly a werewolf in a tattered straight-jacket ripped through the main tent leaving only the recon team’s radio kit as evidence they even made it this far."

Demon District
"Experience fright by night as you walk through the dreadfully eerie Demon District where you never know what's lurking behind you.
The Necromancer has been let loose from the tombs to wreak havoc creating hell on earth as it summons creatures and possesses the survivors. The remains of an industrial neighborhood have fallen to the citizens of Demon District who love to haunt, torture, and tease any unlucky tourists. A gang of psychotic clowns also run amok hoping you’ll take a ride on their Terror Twist or step right up to the Creepshow Freakshow: Cavalcade of the Odd. As you get drawn further towards Slayer’s Lair, try your luck at the Acid Bath game, be weary of the warehouse, feel the heat of the boiler room, and sneak past the junkyard hoping that the Necromancer itself doesn’t spot you.
There’s an old abandoned industrial district at the edge of Six Flags New England. Buildings have been boarded up; graffiti tags cover the crumbling concrete walls of the once thriving business that are no more. By day all seems good besides the dreadfully eerie silence, but by night the air starts to suddenly thicken and the wind slowly breaks the silence with a low, piercing, spine-chilling howl that shakes you to the bone. It’s a warning that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Local residents avoid going near it at all costs for a reason: It’s deadly.
To the naked eye, in the bright sunshine, it looks pretty harmless, simply a place that time has forgotten, a place that has clearly just outlived its heyday. But legend has it that something very evil resides in the area. Former business owners say they left the area because they feared for their lives. They report seeing fleeting glimpses of ghastly figures lurking in the shadows, watching their every move. Some even say they come face to face with the most grotesque looking demons. One man even notes he was clawed up by a ravenous, blood-thirsty, red-horned demon with a crazed look of despair and says he has the scar to prove it. Others say that they have even been enveloped, almost to the point of suffocation, by an overpowering evil force.
And, many brave souls, including expert paranormal hunters, who have ventured into the area seeking explanations, exploring its creepy depths, chasing the mysterious shadows lurking in the dark, have vanished into thin air. The ones who have made it out alive have returned lifeless, with horrific hollowed eyes, and entranced with an inexplicable spell. Local residents that live nearby also tell of unexplained terrorizing shrieks that break the night silence, and report the lingering smell of rotting flesh.
It is believed that this industrial area, aptly dubbed “Demon District”, sucks in those that get too close, whirling them into a disorienting world of backstreet terror, before sucking the life out of them. Park goers who choose to stay to wander into Demon District do so at their own risk because there’s no telling what might happen."

Undead Alley
"This is the site where Mayor Slayer emerged from the ground to reign Frightfest. Undead Alley hosts the Zombies who are freshly unearthed to join his army. In this zone, the Necromancer oversees their activity and several times an hour, LightmosFear erupts from the Zombie coaster to celebrate fear.
In the 13th year of this millennium, 13 decades after the death of a beloved nobleman, there was a shift in the winds, clouds of eerie green gathered overhead. The earth shook wildly causing coffins to start rising in the North end of the park breaking the dirt above them and bones tossing about. Suddenly a crack of thunder echoed throughout the land and one sole coffin shot up from the ground into the air with beams of light behind it. When it landed, a hand slowly emerged and Mayor Slayer rose to reclaim his seat.
The Mayor then gracefully called forth the NecroMancer beast, who immediately got to work freeing more corpses from their slumber. This growing army of zombies started roaming about as Mayor Slayer ventured into the park to oversee the rest of Frightfest ensuring all the monsters from Demon District to the Wicked Woods were keeping all the guests of the night entertained in hopes they may one day join him for immortality.
In the meantime, Undead Alley hosts the Zombies who are freshly unearthed, and hungry. Some are quite nimble, while some are still learning to walk again. The Necromancer also oversees their activity and may add a few new victims to the army of undead.
When LightmosFear erupts into song from the Zombie Coaster Pandemonium, the inhabitants of Undead Alley react. Some in pain, some in joy….but they all know it recalls the celebration of when Mayor Slayer came to reign Frightfest."
Main Street Graveyard
"Main Street Graveyard is the rumored home to an ever-growing number of ghosts, ghouls and monsters. Traverse coffins, tombs and other cemetery horrors when you visit the haunted burial ground.
In the early 1900s, after many years of wedded bliss, Thomas’ wife, Deborah, passed away. The doctors proclaimed her dead but Thomas wasn’t convinced. He insisted she was still alive and refused to leave his love. His protests grew so adamant, the orderlies had to pry him away kicking and screaming from his wife’s body.
Thomas visited her grave everyday; never quite able to shake the feeling he should have done more in the hospital. Every night he was haunted by nightmares of his wife clawing to get out of her coffin. Eventually, he couldn’t take it anymore. He drove in the middle of the night to The Main Street Graveyard just outside Six Flags New England. He took his rusty shovel and dug the six feet of earth separating him from his love. He held his breath and slowly opened the coffin. It creaked at the hinges but then sprung open on its own. His wife jolted up and lunged at her husband. She really had been buried alive but, rather than suffocate the graveyard transformed her into a monster. She snapped her husband’s neck in one, bloody motion. Then she went to work freeing the rest of the ghouls, ghosts and monsters trapped in the Main Street Graveyard. Deborah’s new army of undead set forth to wreak havoc on the world of the living."

Tombstone TerrorTory
"Who says Westerns need to take place out west? There has been plenty of gunplay, saloon fights and player pianos right here on the very lot where Six Flags New England now stands. The area is rife with rumors of fallen cowboys returning from the grave to wander the midway. None of these stories are told more often than that of Mr. Douglas Van Eastwood.
Van Eastwood was a good man. He had ethics, was respected in the community and enjoyed local celebrity status as the finest bounty hunter in town. This reputation lead to his pursuit of Tomahawk, the most wanted fugitive in the Northeast. Days before Van Eastwood was put on the case, Tomahawk took the Springfield Bank for a cool million dollars. He entered the bank and immediately yelled for everyone inside to hit the floor. They all complied but, for some reason, this wasn’t enough for him. Tomahawk shot every customer and every bank teller right between the eyes. The walls and floor were painted red with the blood of the innocent. By the time the massacre was over, Tomahawk was able to walk straight into the vault without even a moment’s struggle. He took the bank for all its worth, then instantly disappeared.
The rumor around town was, rather than head for greener pastures; Tomahawk was actually biding his time and hiding out in Agawam. After coming up empty-handed, the local authorities put Van Eastwood on the case. It was mere days before he, once again, proved his skills in hunting and was lead directly to Tomahawk’s hideout in the backroom of a popular saloon. He pointed his six-shooter at the man and told him he was under arrest. But that’s when Van Eastwood was faced with a decision he didn’t expect to make. Tomahawk, desperate to not be carted off to jail, offered him a deal. They could split the money right down the middle and hightail it out of town together. Half a million dollars was far more than Van Eastwood was promised for the capture but, as an ethical man, he was unsure. Increasingly desperate, he upped the offer to a 75/25 split. Even the most ethical men have a price point and this was Van Eastwood’s. He took the deal.
The partnership went as planned for a few days as the bounty hunter and outlaw began their long trek out west. To his surprise, Van Eastwood found he was even starting to enjoy the outlaw’s company. Unfortunately for him though, Tomahawk had other plans in mind. As soon as Van Eastwood’s guard was down, his double-crossing partner shot him dead in his sleep. Just like the bank shootout, the bullet was sent right between the eyes. He took the entire million leaving Van Eastwood dead, alone and with his reputation in the town completely ruined. It’s been said that Van Eastwood now haunts his home looking for not only forgiveness for his misdeeds but revenge on his former partner."

Area 51
Type: Scare Zone
"Dare to enter a secret underground base hidden below Six Flags New England that’s become Ground Zero for bloodthirsty aliens looking to rid the Earth of humans. Travel with extreme caution and beware of the intergalactic invasion.

In 1947, an alien spacecraft crashed near Springfield, MA. It was recovered by the US Air Force and taken to Area 51, the government’s hidden military base specially designed for alien experimentation. When they arrived at their secret location, they were horrified to discover the crash had multiple survivors.
The surviving aliens were held captive by the US Military and locked away in Area 51. The doctors on staff prepared to dissect the first of the survivors but, unfortunately, weren’t ready for what lay beneath their metallic skin. The first scalpel incision into the alien forced a black ooze to explode from its body and cover the entire medical staff. Like acid, the liquid ate through the doctors’ clothes and burned right through their bodies. The deaths were painful and the men were left unrecognizable on the floor. The alien, on the other hand, healed almost instantly and set forth to rescue his fellow prisoners.
Free from their cells, the aliens unleashed terror all over Area 51. Any military agent that tried to intervene was either ripped apart by their razor sharp claws or essentially melted by their black ooze. Once every human in the area was annihilated, the aliens called to their home planet and summoned them down to Area 51. Without a trace of human interference and a base already hidden underground, this would be the perfect hideaway on Earth for the murderous aliens.
The base is now overrun with the other-worldly creatures, all biding their time before emerging from below the ground and taking over the Earth. Venture down if you dare but steer clear of any black ooze."
Total Darkness
Type: Haunted House
"You will be blinded by darkness as you find your way and face your fears in this all new haunted maze. A simple rope is your only chance to stay together and not get trapped with the other lost souls that haunt these halls.

Paranormal experts from across the land surrounded mysterious walls that were discovered along the river banks. Cries of agony echoed from within luring one brave field researcher to enter. With a lantern strapped to his helmet and another in his hand, he inched his way down a safety rope tied to the entrance of this abandoned facility. Within a few feet, the helmet light fizzled out. A moment later a gust of wind brushed his face and the lantern in his hand was extinguished. His eyes got wider and he slowed started to turn back, but another gust knocked him back causing him to let go of the rope. Just as he was about to get back up, the last thing he saw was an screaming apparition come flying at him, lifting him up and into the abyss."
