Haunted Houses
Skull Manor
"Skull Manor was just about to receive historical site status as the final word in old colony estates until a grizzly murder forced the house into condemnation. Experience the infamous mansion first-hand but beware of hair-raising terror around every corner. The manor on Skull Street was the largest house on the block, but it was very run down. The previous owners, Mr. and Mrs. Landon, had moved out years ago and the house was never revisited. As an aspiring house flipper, Jeffrey bought the estate in the hopes of renovating the abandoned property to make it beautiful to sell for big bucks. Jeffrey entered the house to begin his construction project and found bloodstained walls, rodent and bug infestations, and mold and cobwebs growing in the corners. He cleaned the mess and often worked overnight to complete his renovation. Sometimes he thought he heard heavy footsteps, tapping on walls, and muffled whispers, but his hammering, sawing, and drilling disguised the unusual sounds. Neighbors often complained about hearing Jeffrey’s construction tools in the middle of the night, but one night, they heard something completely different coming from the house—screams. They thought the builder had hurt himself so they rushed over to check on him, and found him lying dead in the kitchen with a nail through his heart. As neighbors and police roamed the house for clues, lights began flickering and doors and windows were locked. Then, they appeared—the previous homeowners, the ghosts of the Landons. The Landons rarely had visitors, and when they did, their friends were never seen again. Mrs. Landon told the detectives, “We love visitors,” and Mr. Landon continued, “but we hate when they try to leave.” Lamps were knocked over and fire spread throughout the house, completely burning all the occupants inside. Now, at The Great Escape, you can tour the classic mansion to explore the unfinished renovation and the fire damage, but remember—the Landons won’t like it when you try to escape." |
Aftermath
The infection is spreading at a rapid rate! The first documented case of AFV—Aftermath Virus—was at The Great Escape. It has been said that AFV had started as an airborne infection, but there has been no scientific explanation. Since the first case of AFV the number has tripled. The first signs of AFV are lesions on the skin, spikes in temperature, defecation and projectile vomiting. Total transformation is reached 48 hours after the first sign of infection. The Aftermath Zone has been completely overrun by infected walkers looking for their next meal. Deprived zombies have been known to mutilate their food, removing their preys’ insides and keeping the bones as a savory snack. DO NOT…we repeat DO NOT seek shelter in any of the containers, as there’s no telling what dangers lurk inside. If you think you have what it takes to survive Aftermath, please be our guest. Your best bet at survival is completely avoiding this zone at all costs. Once bitten or infected there is no hope. Nightmare at Crackaxle Canyon
The doctor is ready to see you now! Dr. Abel Bloodheart is at your service from annual checkups to curing insane thoughts. Dr. Bloodheart is mainly known for his new-age practices. He passionately believes in his theory that localized infections are the root cause of illness including insanity and therefore curable. Now the head of the institute, Dr. Bloodheart has begun implementing a refined procedure he commonly refers to as “surgical bacteriology.” Bloodheart and his team have performed thousands of surgical operations on patients. First, teeth and tonsils are extracted. If there are no signs of improvement, the staff will go in for a deeper extraction removing internal organs, limbs and other body parts. Although documentation isn’t recorded at this establishment Dr. Abel Bloodheart says his operations have a 95% success factor, and patients don’t ever want to leave. Rumor has it the asylum is overrun by tormented souls that lay dormant to inflect revenge on whomever steps foot in the building. Either by will or by force – we don’t know; but once patients enter they never leave. |

Malice in Wonderland
"Visit the world were Malice fell from the seemingly bottomless hole in the Great Escape lot so many years ago. But be warned - years of torment under evil dictators have rendered this land uninhabitable. Traverse your way though monsters and ghouls all looking to keep you in Wonderland forever.
Little Alice was enjoying a day at The Great Escape with her family. She was too excited looking around at all the coasters, that she didn’t notice the large hole in the ground in front of her. Alice tripped and fell down the hole. Crews tried frantically to help the girl get out of the hole, but it was much too deep and unfortunately, Alice was never seen again.
Alice was angry that she had to live in this dark hole with no food and no friends. She thought it was unfair that all the other children were still out enjoying the park, and she set out to recruit people to join her in this dark, evil world. Park guests reported seeing a pale little girl wandering the park alone, and at night, people claim to hear a child singing and muffled cries for help. Guests suddenly started disappearing.
Alice would bring her recruits down to her hole and torture them with starvation, imprisonment, and pain. Once her guests showed signs of weakness, she would feast on human flesh and bones for dinner. The little girl, now known as Malice, leaves her hole every October to hunt down new friends and victims. If she finds you, you’ll enter the hole of darkness, and you may never come out."

Type: Haunted House "For years visitors have wandered through the dark halls of the Saloon of Darkness searching for a way out. Young Emily entered on her 12th birthday and has never been seen again. Do you know the way out? Emily’s parents took her to the carnival to celebrate her 12th birthday. The attraction that grabbed her attention the most was the fun house maze. She was going to prove that she could untangle the twisted course. She stepped up to the door of the maze house and the attendant snickered and asked her, “You sure, little girl?” The worker was a short, fat man with a long nose, creepy grin, and blisters all over his face. He slowly opened the door, and Emily stepped inside. The door slammed behind her and Emily saw lots of bright lights, endless corridors, and dizzying effects. She began to maneuver her way through the course, when about halfway through, the power went out. She suddenly couldn’t see anything in the pitch dark room, and only bumped into twisted hallways, surprise corners, and dead ends. Emily panicked and bumped into one of the large glass mirrors, which came crashing down on her and sent shards of glass slicing into her skin, draining all the blood from her body. She was never seen again. Years later, rumors floated around that Emily still haunts the dark maze in search of a way out. 17-year-old Billy watched people enter the house and try to maneuver through the twisted course, but nobody ever came out. However, he was desperate to show his friends that he wasn’t afraid of the haunted attraction, and he volunteered to venture through the Fun House. He started traveling through the black maze, with only the shine of the moon coming in through the window to guide his way. He suddenly bumped into a little girl who was lost in the darkness. Her face glowed in the moonlight, and Billy saw that this wasn’t just a normal girl. Her face was extremely pale and her body was disfigured and covered in cuts and scars. He knew this must be the haunted Emily. Emily approached Billy and her screeching voice shouted, “Show me the way out!” Billy choked out a reply that he didn’t know how to exit. This isn’t good enough for Emily, and she reached into her pocket to take out a sharp piece of glass. She slowly carved into his neck and sliced the boy’s head off, leaving a pile of blood reflecting in the mirrored hallways. She returns to the same spot every year asking the same question, “Do you know the way out?” |
